ILAC is making it easier for Spanish students at public and private high schools in Canada to take their PCE tests as they look to enter universities in Spain.
This June, Spanish grade 12 students in Canada who want to do the PCE (Specific Competency Tests) can do them at ILAC in Toronto and Vancouver, in collaboration with UNED ASISS.
“ILAC will offer the UNED access test to provide as a crucial stepping stone for Spanish students in Canada aiming to pursue higher education in Spain,” says John DeFranco, CEO of ILAC Education Group. “Hosting PCE test centres at ILAC will eliminate travel barriers, making it easier for Spanish students in Canada to participate in the examination process.”
The PCE are exams that students who have completed a foreign Baccalaureate must take to access any university in Spain. The collaboration with UNED ASISS highlights a trusted relationship, ensuring students receive a reliable testing experience and support throughout the process with UNED supervised teachers and ILAC staff and facilities.
“For UNED it is a privilege to be able to count on the collaboration of ILAC,” says J. Óscar Vila, Vice-Rector of Access Services at UNED. “It has allowed us to continue advancing our objective of examining international students as close as possible to their homes and in this case, administering the tests required for access to Spanish universities in two key cities located on each coast of Canada. We hope that our alliance will continue to grow and create even broader educational collaboration agreements.”
“The ability for Spanish high school students studying in Canada to complete PCE testing in Vancouver or Toronto is very welcome news,” says Bonnie McKie, Executive Director of the Canadian Association of Public Schools – International (CAPS-I). CAPS-I is a non-profit association comprised of 130 publicly funded school districts and boards across Canada.
“Before students were forced to test either in Spain or travel to the US for their test,” says Santiago Sanchez, Student Recruitment Manager for Spain at ILAC. “This is a great opportunity for our Spanish students at ILAC International High School graduating this year.”
