Teens Program Coordinator
Toronto

The International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) is one of the best-known English language schools in Canada. Department: Teens Program

We are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and dedicated individual, to join our Teens Program Department, to serve our students and partners. The Candidate must be fluent in English, and has excellent communication and customer service skills. Proficiency in Russian or French languages is an asset. Additionally, the candidate must have a previous experience in recreational field or event planning, and able to work successfully in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. This is a full-time position, based in Toronto.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process Teens Program students’ applications, calculate admission fees and issue necessary documents;
  • Communicates with students and partners, answers their questions, concerns, issues;
  • Plans and delivers Mondays orientations for underage students; coordinates with activities department on walking tours, presentation and times; plans and delivers Tuesdays orientation for Group leaders;
  • Attends activities during the week and weekends as needed to ensure the actives run smoothly; reports feedback to Teen Programs Director;
  • Creates weekly calendars for new students, ensures events’ schedule times, dates and meeting places are correct;
  • In cooperation with Homestay department enforces curfew policy and follows up with students who break a curfew;
  • In the event of emergency helps underage student to receive a medical help;
  • Performs other duties as required;

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience;
  • Complete fluency in English, fluency in Russian and French is an asset;
  • Working experience in recreational field, event planning and/or experience in working with children and teenagers preferred;
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in staff supervision required;
  • Accuracy and attention to details;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
