Regional Ambassador - Korea

The International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) is one of the best-known English language schools in Canada. We are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and dedicated individual, to join our administrative team in the Admission and Student Services department, to serve our Korean students and partners.

The Candidate must be fluent in both English and Korean and has excellent communication and customer service skills. Additionally, the candidate must have a previous experience in administrative and client services role, and able to work successfully in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

This is a full-time position, based in Vancouver.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet students and visitors, and present a positive and professional image of the school;
  • Act as a point of contact for both students and partners; provide them with an ongoing support, and a top-notch client service experience;
  • Answer all students and partners questions, and facilitate the needed communication with the respective department (Academics, Homestay, Accounting, University Pathways, and Social Events)
  • Organize and deliver orientation sessions for the new students;
  • Process all applications accurately, and issue the appropriate documents accordingly;
  • Collaborate with the account receivable department in following up with pending payments;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in a related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience;
  • Complete fluency in English and Korean;
  • Minimum 1-year successful experience in administrative and client services role(in educational environment preferred);
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • Accuracy and attention to details;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Head of Sales & Marketing

Position: Head, Sales & Marketing

ILAC Sales & Marketing teams are joining forces under the leadership of the Sales & Marketing Head to continue delivering on our commitment and unforgettable learning experience to our students who come from across the world.

A visionary, tactful and results focused, the Head of Sales and Marketing will ensure the strategic planning and seamless execution of comprehensive marketing and sales strategies and tactics, including the collection and dissemination of crucial market research information, benchmarks and analytics, in order to advance our enrollment across ILAC and ILAC International College programs across Canada – and by integrating a multi-platform and multi-channel approach to prospect identification, development and conversion.

Additionally, the Head of Sales and Marketing will provide leadership and support to enhance ILAC’s strong market presence and brand through the effective use of corporate communications, public affairs and reputation management.

Selected Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Work with the CEO and executive team to define and oversee the sales team compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function
  • Monitor marketing and sales trips’, calendars and schedules, for all markets and attends educational fairs in source countries; when needed 
  • Conduct job evaluations of Sales Directors; provide feedback based on observation and coach them;
  • Promote marketing initiatives, plan and organize in-house and international agent fairs;
  • Undertake continuous analysis of competitive environments and monitor customer’s trends in international education
  • Oversee the production and distribution of marketing materials, including and not limited to brochures, banners, and swag

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A relevant post-secondary degree, along with progressive leadership and management experience from either the public or private sectors – encompassing both strategic as well as operational responsibility for a combination of marketing, sales, corporate communications, and integrated reputation and brand management functions.
  • 5-7 years of experience working within a complex, highly dynamic environment would be ideal.
  • Works well in an unstructured and entrepreneurial environment where decisions and actions need to happen quickly and professionally.
  • The ability to balance a “big picture”, strategic orientation and executing day-to-day tactical and operational requirements and deliverables – within a creative, innovative, collegial, collaborative yet decisive, results-oriented and accountable environment.
  • Excellent team leadership and management skills – along with a proven track record of translating market intelligence and data into strategies, business plans, outcomes and results.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, project and change-management skills, along with social media literacy and fluency are essential.
  • The knowledge of industry best practices and principles, and other important and relevant standards and applications is important.

Social Events Leader

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leads or support leaders in walking tours, social and recreational activities for students;
  • Actively engages in student activities to ensure student involvement and active participation, as well as maximises student positive experience;
  • Assist with events/excursions attendance records, ensures students receive proper directions and instructions, ensure groups stay together throughout the event/ excursion;
  • Assist in preparation of equipment and documents necessary for each event/ excursion;
  • Organizes and participates in student orientations; prepares all materials and equipment needed;
  • Refers all inquiries from the students to the appropriate individuals, or departments across the organization;
  • Performs other duties as required;
  • High level of coordination and organization of multiple tasks simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Working experience in recreational field, event planning preferred (highly desired);
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to lead groups;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
  • Basic mathematical competence

Working Conditions:

  • Long hours standing (at least 3 hours in any given day);
  • Continuously moving short and long distances, and sometimes running and dancing as part of the fun-filled activities this role provides;
  • Travel and using transit is required;
  • Lifting or moving up to 10-25 lbs may be required;
  • Ability to work flexible schedule, ability to work evenings and weekends
