Pathway Placement Specialist
Vancouver

ILAC Vancouver has an opening for a full-time Pathways Placement Specialist position. The successful candidate must have complete fluency in Taiwanese/Mandarin and English.

The Pathways Placement Specialist provides ongoing counselling support to ILAC’s international students who are interested in a post-secondary education in Canada, helps them to develop individual study plans based on their goals, and ensures a high quality of customer experience.

The position involves a cooperative work with overseas partners and educational institutions in Canada, and maintaining an ongoing communication on students’ applications and documentation.

We’re looking for a candidate who possesses a broad knowledge and understanding of Canadian post-secondary education system, has excellent communication and customer service skills, can work successfully as the part of a team and individually in a fast-paced working environment, and has strong counselling skills and patience.

Direct experience in a similar position or marketing experience in the education industry would be an asset.

What you will be doing:

  • Answer phone calls, e-mail, and in-person inquiries from educational partners, students, and internal staff;
  • Establish and continuously build productive relationships with educational partners and students;
  • Monitor students enrolled to the pathways program, contact them once they start studying at ILAC and follow up with them on ongoing basis;
  • Help students to choose the best program based on students’ goals and academic background;
  • Help with applications to an university or college program and collection of documentation required, follow up on an application status;
  • Invite educational institutions-partners to organize info tables at ILAC campuses;
  • Plan, organize and schedule university and colleges visits for students;
  • Submit all supportive documentation(transcripts, diplomas) to the colleges and universities;
  • Maintain all records in a database;
  • Participate in colleges and universities visits and in-house mini-fairs as needed;
  • Enforce policies and procedures established by ILAC;
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • University or college degree/diploma in business or related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience;

  • Basic market and pathways process knowledge;
  • Excellent customer care and service excellence attitude;
  • Complete fluency in Taiwanese/Mandarin and English

Marketing Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for highly motivated, dynamic, innovative team player and dedicated professional, to join our Marketing team in a position of Marketing Specialist. The Marketing Specialist is an executor of ILAC’s marketing strategy, and thus is well familiar with all of the marketing team’s operations and projects and understands ILAC’s brand. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for coordinating marketing projects and processes while working collaboratively with the different stakeholders ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

Selected Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage our merchandise/swag inventory, including planning and executing the distribution and shipment of items on campus and overseas.
  • Receive, analyse, and process internal marketing material requests, such as flyers, invitations, banners and other promotions materials as required, and escalate them for approval as needed;
  • Once design, wording, and specifications are approved, ensure they are printed correctly, and delivered to the respective department or person;
  • Gather, analyse, and negotiate quotes from third party printing providers as needed.
  • Participate in planning and organizing the events for the school including fam trips, educational fairs; and others as required;
  • Create and proof read content for brochures, social media posts, articles, flyers, blogs, website and other marketing collaterals to ensure quality and consistency of marketing initiatives;
  • Engaged as requested in creating in the preparation and distribution of marketing collateral (prospect, welcome packages, SWAG, presentations, etc.), promotional flyers, posters, interior design signage, and other special sales and marketing materials to both internal and external clients;
  • Execute assigned projects and tasks in a timely manner; monitor and adjust activities as needed to deliver maximum results;
  • Engaged as requested by the Director of Marketing in digital marketing initiatives such as social media content generation, reviews and hashtag campaigns, online campaigns, email newsletters and push campaigns;
  • Monitor and identify new industry trends and media opportunities relevant to ILAC;
  • Create, implement and measure the success of marketing campaigns and provide ongoing feedback to Director of Marketing;
  • Maintain a consistent corporate branding throughout marketing and promotional materials;
  • Perform other duties as assigned;

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of successful Marketing experience;
  • University or college degree in marketing, business or related field, or an appropriate combination of education and experience;
  • Understanding of or experience working with Social Media Marketing and SEO/SEM campaigns and digital tools is an asset;
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills;
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
  • Proficient in using MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook);
  • Basic knowledge on Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator);
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; professional and diplomatic;
  • Acts with ethics and integrity and demonstrates sound judgment and respect for the individual in all interactions with others.
