The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Academic Campus Manager (ACM) in the following areas: teacher and student support, academic administration, and classroom management at their campus. A strong entrepreneurial leader, the Assistant Manager provides exceptional leadership support to the ACM in order to ensure each campus has seamless support, service and communication for ILAC teachers, students, and academic support staff. Under the guidance of the Academic Campus Manager, the Assistant Manager provides administrative support and leadership on all academic processes including class changes, academic appeals, academic reporting, classroom standards, teacher/student support, communication and engagement.

Job Responsibilities:

Student Support

  • Taking a customer-centric approach, the Assistant Manager will be responsible for supporting the student experience at their campus
  • As a member of the Academic support team, ensures that all academic processes are customer-focused, expedient and reviewed for continuous improvement
  • Under the guidance of the ACM, receives and manages the students’ class change requests, analyzing individual requests, noting trends, and providing feedback and recommendations.

Classes:

  • Ensures that classrooms meet ILAC standards of quality through continuous communication with, and education of teachers and academic support staff.

Teachers

  • Supports the ACM to ensure that the teachers in their assigned building (s) are well prepared, highly engaged, up to date on all academic and relevant news at ILAC
  • Assists the ACM in the delivery of daily/weekly teacher communication, support and engagement for their assigned campus.

Administration

  • In cooperation with the Academic Ambassadors supports with Academic paperwork (new term paperwork, attendance, test results, preferred program sheets, elective choice forms, tests, merge lists, certificates, classroom change signs, etc.), processes and workflow.

Education and Experience requirements:

  • 3 year diploma or degree in business or education
  • 3-5 years experience in a business administration role
  • Experience working in a fast paced, multicultural environment
  • A second language is considered an asset
  • Experience in international education is considered an asset

IT Asset Management Administrator
Toronto

If you are looking for a challenging exciting position, join our dynamic team as an IT Asset Management Administrator, where you will be responsible for managing all of ILAC’s IT assets and also providing prompt technical assistance to staff. You will be tracking, monitoring printer’s consumables usage and stock, coordinate project work with senior team members as required.

We are looking for an individual with a strong interpersonal skill, friendly personality and ability to carry out duties in a professional manner. The successful candidate must take ownership of issues, ensure they are done in a timely manner; keep record of tasks in ticketing system and coordinate with team members in Toronto and Vancouver. This position requires working on site in Toronto on a full-time basis, no travel required.

Main Job Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership and responsibility for all assets company wide.
  • Maintain daily inventory of ILAC’s IT assets within BarCloud (or other systems) and ensure all hardware is documented via serial number and asset tag.
  • Send weekly reports of upcoming new hires, asset requirements and asset specific items to the IT service department.
  • Manage the IT storage rooms and assist in developing a management strategy across all campuses.
  • Work with IT staff, HR and functional managers to ensure timely return of ILACs IT assets and related items, such as drives, chargers, laptops, etc.
  • Assist and support other IT staff to complete work orders on IT assets.
  • Submit quotations for new ILAC IT assets and related supplies as needed.
  • Submit quotations for shipping supplies, such as boxes, tape, bubble wrap, asset tags etc.
  • Manage shipping/return (FedEx/UPS/DHL) process for ILAC IT assets.
  • Manage activation/deactivations for phones with mobile carriers (Rogers).
  • Install and configure workstations based on company needs and requirements.
  • Create user accounts and assign user licenses as per instruction.
  • Accommodate users’ requests for computer hardware and software to ensure a timely resolution; install hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Identify, research, and resolve technical problems (Desktop Support).
  • Administer and troubleshoot access to the SIS system (Student Information System);

Requirements:

  • 2 years of successfully managing IT assets with an annual budget of at least 300K (or 300 new devices annually);
  • Minimum of 2 years’ education in Information Technology, degree or diploma;
  • 2 years of working experience in a mid to large-size environment (supporting 300+ customers);
  • 2 years of experience working in a desktop support environment is an asset (Windows10/7, Office2016);
  • 1 year of work experience working with VoIP solutions;
  • MCSE, CCNA certifications are an asset;
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM is an asset;
  • Scripting is an asset.
