ILAC Higher Education Workshop Vancouver 2017

WATCH OUR RECAP VIDEO AT THE END OF THE ARTICLE!

The ILAC Higher Education Workshop 2017 took place in Vancouver from April 17 to 23. We had the honour of welcoming 112 agents from 25 different countries for a week filled with adventures, action, celebrations, and more importantly, to meet with 65+ representatives from top Canadian colleges and universities, creating new partnerships and bonds.

Skiing, walking tours, presentations, parties – these are some of the activities that made this year’s event one to remember.

The main goal of the workshop is to be a bridge between recruiting agents from all around the world and Canada’s top Colleges and Universities. Through ILAC’s University Pathway program, students are able to transition from General English courses into academic preparation to attend higher education institutions in Canada.

Agents not only had the opportunity to meet with representatives and discuss future partnerships, but also got to know ILAC’s staff and facilities, as well as the city of Vancouver, living the ILAC experience first hand.

“I’ve sent a lot of students to ILAC over the past 10 years, and today I feel like I’m getting the service you provide to my students, and I can really see that it’s a great service,” said Juliana Souza from Beetrip Intercambio – Brazil.

For some, the ILAC Workshop was also a rewarding experience that will help them introduce students to Canada as a destination.“We believe that you have to live through this experience to be able to transmit to the student, not only show the pictures and the videos, but be able to transmit the passion,” said Alejandro Gomez from Information Planet – Colombia

Take a look at the highlights of the workshop and relive it with us!
