The Program:

・1 semester (16 weeks) at ILAC: Power English 38 lessons/week

・1 semester (16 weeks) at Seneca College: 4 full time courses in English, General Arts & Science

2017 Start Dates:

・ILAC: Jan 16 / Seneca: May 8

・ILAC: May 15 / Seneca: Sep 5

・ILAC: Sep 18 / Seneca: Jan 8, 2018

・Seneca – Students will need to pass Seneca Placement Test

・1 semester (16 weeks) at Niagara College: 5 full-time courses in one of the three streams – Business, English, Tourism, or General Arts and Science

・ILAC: Sep 18 / Niagara: Jan 8, 2018

*One extra week of accommodation will be required for this intake.

Important: In order to start the semester at Capilano, during ILAC studies, students need to take IELTS test and receive IELTS 6.5+. The cost of the test (CAD $309) is not included.

Before you apply:

1. Take the online test at ilac.com/online-test

2. Register at ilac.com or contact your agent to book your Skype Interview or present your IELTS Academic test results.

Depending on your English level you may need to take extra English classes before starting the GAP Year Program. Some of our partner universities and colleges may require an extra proof of English before starting the program. Please check the requirements of each institution in this brochure.

3. We provide you with the letter of acceptance to apply for student visa/permit, if applicable

4. Travel to Canada

After you arrive:

1. Start your studies at ILAC

2. Attend the GAP Year orientation session and receive free academic counselling

3. Attend to the college/university tour

4. Some partner universities/colleges require their own specific English requirements before submitting the application to them. Once you reach the required level or obtain the required test result, ILAC will help you submit the application to the college or university

5. Register for College/University courses. Capilano and Kwantlen university require the original high School diploma and transcripts. No copies accepted.
