ILAC announces new global agency for direct entry into higher education in Canada

ILAC now offers international students direct placement into Canadian colleges and universities without having to do a pathway program. Starting this fall, students who already have IELTS or TOEFL can apply directly to a Canadian college or university through Canadian Edge, ILAC’s global education agency.

Agents can work directly with the ILAC pathway team to place students into programs at one of ILAC’s 85 higher education partners across Canada. The new admission service is free for both the agent and student and no separate agency agreement is required.

“There are many students who don’t require a pathway program and just need help navigating the college or university process,” says Carolyn Bercu, Director of Partnerships at ILAC. “For students that already meet the English requirements, ILAC will help them find and apply for the program they want.”

ILAC handles the entire admission process from start to finish, from completing the application to receiving the Letter of Acceptance (LOA).

“ILAC has always been in the business of creating opportunities,” says Bercu“Canadian Edge is just one more way we can help international students fulfill their dreams of living, working and studying in Canada.”
