As the pace and availability of education rises around the world, prospect students are in search of quality education and self-developmental skills. ILAC prides itself in bringing opportunity and solutions to international students whose dreams have been to receive the utmost standard of education and the ultimate Canadian experience.
The Canada Partnership Forum 2019 took place in Vancouver, from April 19th to 24th. We had the honour of receiving 180+ partners from 30 different countries, for 4 days of exceptional networking, fun, mingling, and the development of stronger ties between the future representatives of the highest educational institutes in Canada.
ILAC’s award-winning Pathway Program provides students with the opportunity of transitioning from General English courses to a more targeted preparation to attend higher education institutions in Canada. We had the pleasure of uniting and being the point of contact between our partners and the 85+ representatives from various recognized universities and colleges that attended the forum.
It was very important to us that our valuable and trusted partners could live the ultimate Canadian experience too; bringing them the confidence and knowledge to recommend us and Canada as their primordial education destination for their trusting students. As part of the forum, partners had the opportunity of touring ILAC Vancouver, TRU (and our new ILAC – TRU International Year One Program), skiing in Whistler, and a Gala Dinner for the books!
“I’m surprised about the number of agents ILAC has brought to Canada, to this particular event. The quality is so good, every single agent that is here is really interested in bringing students not only to learn English but to higher education,” said Gabriela Facchini from Sheridan College.
For some, the Canada Partnership Forum was also a rewarding experience that will help them introduce their higher education institutions to students around the world. “We always see ILAC as the school that goes everywhere, that does tremendous marketing activities in the regions and promotes the Canadian education system, which we need, as the higher education institutes in Canada,” said Mustafa Aydin from Georgian College.

Networking Trip to Whistler
The adventure begins! After CPF Vancouver, our partners enjoyed a two-day trip to Whistler, one of the best ski destinations in the world. Part of the group chose to have an adventurous day skiing or snowboarding while others enjoyed a relaxing day at the Scandinave Spa. The program also included an Immigration Seminar with Barrister David Orman and a Panel of Thought Leaders. The dinner reception at “Caramba Restaurant” was sponsored by CIBC and the dinner party at GLC Whistler was sponsored by Asia Pacific Education.
Thank you to all the agents and partner institutions who participated in the Canada Partnership Forum. We hope you expanded your knowledge about education opportunities for international students in Canada, and let’s do it again in 2020!
