Vancouver is the best place in Canada to spot magnificent whales. Summer is high season for grey whales, orcas, and even humpbacks, all just a quick catamaran ride from downtown Vancouver. Also knows as “Kits”, this beach is one of the most beautiful and popular in Vancouver. It is one of the best beaches for sports with volleyball nets, basketball hoops, and tennis courts. Kitsilano beach is also home to a 137-meter-long swimming pool: Canada’s largest. The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) is an annual Vancouver fair that has been running for over 100 years and takes place the last three weeks of the summer. The exhibition has multiple activities for people of all ages including many different rides, shows, farm animals, games, and concerts. The PNE requires tickets and must be purchased before your visit.
