Creating hope, opportunities and connections with ILAC’s online English platform.
ILAC closed its classrooms last week to protect our students, teachers and community from the threat of Coronavirus and in 24 hours moved 2000 students online.
“Our teachers have been the heroes for us, they have come together in amazing ways to make this happen,” says Jonathan Kolber, CEO of ILAC. “We are all going to be alone during the crisis, so this is a chance to engage and make friends from around the world in real-time with Canadian teachers.
That was last Monday. Today, seven days later, we are launching ILAC KISS, a worldwide online platform for live English classes. We chose KISS to reflect the core values of, “Keeping it Simple and Smart”.
ILAC teachers are engaging students online, at a time when people cannot leave their homes, not just in Canada but all over the world.
Keeping it simple and smart means teachers are using English textbooks and one of two platforms, Microsoft Teams and Zoom, and positive engagement and connection. Engagement is exactly the medicine we need to keep people in their homes while we fight this virus together.
ILAC KISS is also available for students who are planning to come to Canada and want to begin classes.
We have done our best from a corporate social responsibility perspective to offer classes affordably during these very difficult times.
