Coming soon! New IELTS test venue at ILAC in Toronto

Starting October 2020, ILAC is opening up its 15th IELTS test venue, this time in downtown Toronto. Over the summer, ILAC – the International Language Academy of Canada – became one of the biggest official IELTS test centres in the world, with locations in British Columbia and Yukon, Canada. 

 

The new IELTS test venue at ILAC Toronto will begin offering in-person testing on October 24th. Test takers will be able to choose either the IELTS Academic Exam or IELTS General Training Exam and the test will initially be offered in the Paper-based format. 

 

“We are very excited to expand our IELTS testing into Ontario, where people from all walks of life are waiting to write the IELTS for immigration or higher education,” says Jonathan Kolber, CEO of ILAC. “Our downtown Toronto location will allow us provide timely service in a convenient location.” 

 

All test takers will be required to follow ILAC safety protocol, in accordance with government health and safety guidelines. This includes mandatory face masks, physical distancing, regular hand-washing, medical-grade air filters in each classroom and hand-sanitizer stations.  

 

IELTS is recognized in 140 countries around the world,making it the most important language proficiency test on the planet. Over 10,000 organizations, including universities and companies, recognize the IELTS test as a benchmark of English ability.
