| The University of Windsor is a nondenominational; co-educational institution located in Windsor, Ontario. It was founded in 1857 as Assumption College and achieved university status in 1953. The City of Windsor is on the same latitude as Rome, Italy, and Northern California. The city enjoys moderate winters and pleasant summers. The communities near the University of Windsor are famous for their international flair. |

| The Programs |
Over 120 undergraduate programs are offered including: Arts and Social Sciences, Biotechnology, Business and Economics, Communication Studies, Computer Science, Engineering, Medical Physics, Sciences, Pre-Med/Health.
University of Windsor offers 52 graduate master and doctoral-level programs in areas ranging from MBA and Environmental Engineering to Adult Clinical Psychology and Computer Science.
The most popular course-based Masters Programs are: Master of Engineering and Master of Management Studies.
Special accelerated undergraduate degrees in Bachelor of Computer Science and Bachelor of Commerce are also available to university graduates from all disciplines. The length of these program are 1 and 2 years respectively, their admission requirements are lower than Master’s programs and tuition fees are affordable. Job opportunities are great! |

| Housing |
Students can choose between two options: On-Campus living and Off-Campus living.
There are 5 Traditional Dormitory Style Residence Buildings on the University campus. All buildings have single and double rooms, meal plan, cable TV package, wireless internet in every room, and indoor storage for bicycles.
Off-Campus students can choose to live in houses owned by the University or those owned by independent landlords or in private residences within walking distance to campus. |

| Work Opportunities |
Off-Campus Job Opportunities Students registered in full-time studies can work off campus (as well as on campus) during their studies in Canada. Students only need only to obtain a verification form from the University of Windsor, confirming that the student has been studying full-time for at least 6 months and is in good academic standing.
After Graduation – Work Permit The rules have changed to make it much easier for an international student to obtain a work permit. International students can now apply for a work permit before securing a job. The number of years for the work permit has increased from two years (one year if the job is in Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver) to three years anywhere in Canada.
After Graduation – Permanent Residency A person with permanent residence status can live in Canada as long as they wish. International students who have studied and graduated from a Canadian university or college program, and who have worked in Canada for at least one year in a managerial, professional or technical position, may qualify to apply for permanent resident status. |

- High school diploma and original transcripts (notarized translations).
- A minimum "B" average, or 3.0 GPA from high school.
- Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL (PBT, CBT, iBT): 580, 237, 83; or IELTS: Band 6.5.
- Application fee of CAD $75, payable by credit card, wire transfer or draft.
- If accepted, students will receive a conditional Letter of Acceptance in 2-3 weeks.
- First term tuition fees are required after student’s application is processed.
