ILAC's Levels and Bands

  • Each of ILAC's 17 levels lasts for 4 weeks
  • Our bands last for 8 weeks (2 levels = 1 band)
  • Example: Intermediate Band = Levels Intermediate 1 and Intermediate 2
  • Students can change their class every week for maximum flexibility.
  • Students in Power English will advance 30% faster.

How Students "Level-Up"

  • Students are graded on course work, attendance and independent proficiency test using practice Cambridge exams. Students are tested every 2 weeks.
  • Generally students require the full four weeks to level-up. However, if a student achieves the necessary score on the practice Cambridge exam, they can immediately level-up (move up).
  • Example: If a student in the Intermediate band (Intermediate 1 or 2 Levels) scores a MERIT on the practice PET exam, they may immediately level-up to the Pre-Advanced 1 level.
